About the SBKV
The
SBKV is in an employer-employee relationship with the Swiss Stage Association
SBV, with whom the SBKV has concluded the collective agreements operative in the
SBV theatres.
The
SBKV offers technical and legal advice, and legal aid in case of conflicts relating
to labour and social-security law. (Please call for consultation appointment).
The
SBKV has a relief fund for those in need, an old-age pension scheme (Charles
Apothéloz Foundation CAST, a retirement fund for freelancers), and a collective health
insurance fund. The
SBKV publishes an annual print-version Catalogue of Performers
with photos posted of actresses, actors, and musical performers; and an online-version
Catalogue. It has a retraining fund (aid and advice with vocational re-education) and
offers technical advice on neighbouring or related rights (SWISSPERFORM).
The
SBKV closely co-operates with other national cultural workers' associations and
trade unions such as SSRS, Syndicat Suisse Romande du Spectacle; VTS, Vereinigte
Theaterschaffende Schweiz etc. The
SBKV is in a cartel compound with the German
GDBA, Genossenschaft Deutscher Bühnenangehöriger; ver.di Darstellende Kunst;
and with the Austrian kmsfb Kunst Medien Sport Freie Berufe, of the Austrian trade-
unions congress.
The
SBKV is an executive committee member of SIG, the Swiss Performers' Society;
of SDT, the Swiss umbrella organisation for dance professionals; of CS/ITI Centre
Suisse/Internationales Theaterinstitut; and of SWISSPERFORM, the society for neigh-
bouring or related rights. The SBKV is further represented within the SWISSPERFORM
and SIG Foundation's performers' group "Phono and Audiovision".
The
SBKV is a member organisation of FIA, the International Federation of Actors
located in London, and co-operates worldwide with all the relevant cultural workers'
associations such as BAEA British Actors’ Equity Association, SFA Syndicat Français
des Artistes-Interprètes, Screen Actors Guild etc.
